We wouldn’t be who we are today without the incredible support of our board of directors.
This fantastic group of people comes from a variety of backgrounds. Some are parents, some have personal experience with autism and I/DD, and others bring valuable professional skills. What unites them all is a deep commitment to making a difference in the lives of autistic and I/DD individuals and their families.
These dedicated volunteers play a vital role in our success. They act as our guiding force, ensuring we stay true to our mission and operate with the highest ethical and legal standards. They also work hand-in-hand with our staff to chart our long-term course, setting ambitious goals and developing strategic plans to achieve them.
Board members leverage their networks and connections to raise crucial funds, allowing us to continue providing vital services and programs.
They also provide invaluable mentorship and support to our leadership team, sharing their wisdom and guidance to help us navigate challenges and reach our goal.

Lena Gardea

Lena is a Wealth Advisor, V.P, Private Client Advisor for Columbia Trust Company. Her area of focus consists of trust, estates and investment management. Additionally, she has her article 9 license as a respite habilitation provider in the state of Arizona. She has over 16 years’ experience in the special needs realm. She continues to dedicate herself to the special needs community as a professional, fiduciary, volunteer and her most important role, mom. She has two boys, with the oldest being on the spectrum. Lena brings an abundance of background and knowledge that will support furthering the vision of ALL.
Riley Kollbaum

Riley works in University Advancement and Development, where he partners closely with institutional leadership to build meaningful relationships with corporations, individuals, and foundations in support of mission-driven initiatives. His work is rooted in collaboration, strategic philanthropy, and advancing programs that create lasting community impact.
Through his involvement with the L.O.P.E.S. Academy at Grand Canyon University, Riley has had the opportunity to work alongside program leadership to support both Learners and Peer Mentors, gaining first hand insight into the power of inclusive education, mentorship, and skill development for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Riley is drawn to Autism Life & Living for its tangible and transformative impact on the learning, growth, independence, and life skills of individuals with autism and I/DD. He is honored to serve on the Board of Directors and looks forward to supporting ALL’s mission with curiosity, thoughtfulness, and a servant-hearted approach, helping to expand opportunity, inclusion, and long-term success for the individuals and families ALL serves.
Dr. John Czaplewski

John is a psychologist based in Arizona. He has specialized experience in psychological testing and evaluating a patient’s personal characteristics, such as intelligence, personality, abilities, interests, aptitudes, and neuropsychological functioning. John also diagnoses and treats mental and emotional disorders or disabilities. He will provide ALL a comprehensive perspective as to the unique needs and best support services for those on the autism spectrum.
Ray Schey

Ray Schey brings a wealth of leadership and media expertise to Autism Life & Living as a dedicated member of the Board of Directors. As the Market President & Publisher of the Phoenix Business Journal, Ray oversees all aspects of the publication, which serves more than 35,000 business professionals in the Phoenix area. With a career spanning media, sales, and executive leadership, Ray has played a pivotal role in shaping the business journalism landscape. He was promoted to Publisher in 2014 after a successful tenure as Director of Advertising at the Milwaukee Business Journal, part of American City Business Journals. His extensive experience also includes serving as Director of Advertising at the Rochester Business Journal, along with a background in sales and management in radio and television. Beyond his professional achievements, Ray is deeply committed to community service. He is a member of Greater Phoenix Leadership and serves on multiple boards, including the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, Downtown Phoenix, Visit Phoenix,and the Arizona Tech Council. Ray’s passion for fostering innovation, inclusion, and economic growth aligns with Autism Life & Living’s mission to empower neurodiverse youth and young adults. His strategic vision and deep connections within the business community help drive forward ALL’s initiatives, ensuring greater awareness and support for vulnerable individuals in Arizona.
Phil Tibi

Phil is a Real Estate Broker with over 15 years in the luxury real estate market. He is dedicated and committed to the highest level of customer service while networking with valuable resources for the benefit of his portfolio of clients. His high level professional marketing skills and passion for working on effective solutions along with his desire to serve ALL’s mission, will prove to be a valuable resource to ALL’s capacity to serve.
Marc Garcia

Marc is the President and CEO of Visit Mesa, the destination organization for Mesa, Arizona. He is the visionary behind the City Limitless brand, launched in 2013. With over 27 years of experience in community building, Garcia has worked extensively with destination marketing organizations (DMOs), local governments, and tourism stakeholders, advocating for brand protection and tourism funding, while serving on various industry and local boards. In 2019, he led Mesa to become the nation’s first Autism Certified City through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), with over 7,500 people trained in autism awareness. He continues to champion accessibility through partnerships with organizations like Wheel the World, Aira, Hidden Disability Sunflower Program, and others, working to make Mesa one of the most accessible cities in the U.S. Marc has been married for nearly 30 years to Jennifer and together they have 3 children, the youngest being on the autism spectrum. Marc is deeply committed to advancing ALL’s mission and is passionate about contributing his extensive experience and knowledge to help drive the organization’s vision forward.
Josh Mozell

Josh brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal compassion to our mission. As one of the few attorneys in the nation with a family-focused mental healthcare practice, Josh has dedicated his career to guiding individuals and families through the complex legal and systemic challenges surrounding serious mental illness, autism, and related needs. His experience as both a caseworker and an attorney gives him a rare perspective—one that deeply aligns with ALL’s vision of breaking down barriers and building inclusive, supportive communities.
With his insight into guardianship, special needs estate planning, and advocacy for vulnerable populations, Josh’s leadership will be invaluable as ALL continues to expand programs that empower youth & young adults with autism to live with dignity, independence, and purpose.
Bill Dutcher

Bill has been a professional performing guitarist and independent recording artist for over 35 years. Bill is from Dublin, Ohio and has a B.A. in Telecommunications from Ohio University. He and his wife, Paige, have called Arizona home for the past 17 years. They have two boys, Austin and Dawson. Their youngest son, Dawson, is on the spectrum and at 22 years old, has started his own ceramics business, Dawson’s Designs. Bill was actively involved with Dawson’s former high-school, Gateway Academy, in helping with social events and school activities. Bill enjoys both music performance and instruction and is an advocate for using music as a tool in bringing together social interaction with young adults on the spectrum.
Dean Howard

Dean Howard brings more than two decades of experience across both the public and private sectors, with a strong background in business development, procurement, land planning, and transportation and infrastructure development. He is recognized for his ability to blend technical expertise with a relationship-driven approach, helping teams navigate complex projects and achieve successful outcomes.
Dean began his career in commercial development with a focus on fostering productive collaboration between the development community and public agencies. Having worked on both sides of the table, he offers a unique perspective that allows him to quickly understand complex challenges, align diverse stakeholders, and communicate solutions that move projects forward.
He currently serves as Vice President of Strategic Development for Integrity Building Corporation in Arizona. Dean is a proud board member of Autism Life & Living and is deeply passionate about the organization’s mission to empower individuals with autism and related needs through inclusion, independence, and community-based support. He is honored to contribute his professional expertise to advancing ALL’s long-term vision and impact.
A native Phoenician, Dean is a graduate of Sunnyslope High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University.
Rivers Anderson

Rivers was born and raised in Helena, Montana, and moved to Phoenix, Arizona in January 2024 to lead the Phoenix branch of Dick Anderson Construction, his family’s business. He holds a degree in Construction Engineering from Montana State University and has worked in the construction industry since the age of 16. He is an active member of the Phoenix 2030 Club, where he supports initiatives focused on helping children and young adults reach their full potential through service and advocacy. His passion for community impact and youth development led him to join the board of Autism Life and Living. He is deeply committed to advancing ALL’s mission of creating inclusive, independent living opportunities for neurodiverse young adults. Through his leadership, hands-on approach, and dedication to sustainable growth, Rivers aims to help expand critical resources and empower individuals on the autism spectrum to live full, meaningful lives.
Laura Magnus

Her proven track record in navigating complex systems at the local, state, and federal levels—particularly in areas like education, health care, and economic development—perfectly aligns with ALL’s commitment to empowering individuals with autism and related needs.
Laura’s passion for driving meaningful change, combined with her extensive expertise and strong relationships within the community, will be a tremendous asset as we continue to expand opportunities and support systems for neurodiverse individuals.
