Ways to Give
A Simple Yet Impactful Way to Support Our Work
If the original purpose of your life insurance policy is no longer relevant, this can be a meaningful way to support ALL.
When the original purpose of your life insurance policy—such as funding a child’s education or providing financial security for a spouse—no longer applies, your policy can become a meaningful way to support ALL. There are three options for donating life insurance to Autism Life and Living:
Name us a beneficiary of the policy. This simple option involves updating the beneficiary designation on your policy. You can designate us as the primary beneficiary for a specific amount or percentage, or as the contingent beneficiary, meaning we would receive the balance of your policy if the primary beneficiary does not survive you.
Make an outright gift of an existing policy. You can name us as both the owner and beneficiary of an existing policy. This qualifies you for a federal income tax charitable deduction when you itemize your taxes. If you continue to pay premiums, each payment may also be tax-deductible as a charitable gift.
Make an outright gift of a new policy. You can purchase a new life insurance policy and irrevocably name ALL as both the owner and beneficiary. This option is especially appealing for younger donors. Whether you make a single premium payment or pay annual premiums, each payment is tax-deductible as a charitable gift when you itemize your taxes.
